The Opportunity
A highly respected and growing accountancy practice in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an ambitious Audit Semi Senior to join its expanding Audit team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified ACA or ACCA professional looking to build a successful career in audit and assurance. You will gain exposure to a broad range of clients, industries and assignments while working alongside experienced managers and partners who are committed to supporting your development.
The position provides a strong blend of audit and accounts work, making it ideal for candidates looking to broaden their technical expertise while progressing towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments
Performing audit fieldwork for medium-sized and large corporate clients
Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
Supporting audit seniors, managers and partners throughout engagements
Preparing working papers and audit documentation in line with professional standards
Identifying and communicating audit findings and potential risk areas
Building strong relationships with clients and responding to queries professionally
Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
Maintaining compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
Supporting junior team members where appropriate
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK audit department
Experience preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
Knowledge of UK audit regulations and accounting standards
Experience working with FRS102, FRS102 Section 1A and UK GAAP
Currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
