Salary Guide: £38,000 – £48,000 (depending on experience and qualification level)
Overview
Due to continued expansion, the firm is seeking a highly motivated Financial Reporting Executive to join their Manchester office. This newly developed function will elevate the delivery of financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation for a growing portfolio of audit clients — enabling Audit teams to focus on assurance while enhancing service quality.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven accounting professional to add immediate value and contribute to improved technical reporting, efficiency, and client experience.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory accounts, financial statements, consolidations and disclosures in line with relevant standards including:

UK GAAP
-
Charities SORP
-
Housing SORP
-
IFRS (preferred but not essential)

Supporting audit teams with accounting queries, including direct communication with clients where required.

Assisting with the finalisation of statutory financial statement production as part of audit engagements.

Acting as a key point of contact for audit teams and clients regarding financial reporting matters.

Identifying key areas of judgement and disclosure requirements based on client-specific circumstances.

Liaising across internal departments to ensure deadlines, expectations and service quality are met.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on accounting standards and regulatory updates relevant to the client base.

Providing general and ad-hoc technical support to the audit function where required.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Skills
-
Previous experience preparing full statutory accounts within a professional services or practice environment.

Knowledge of multiple financial reporting frameworks including UK GAAP and at least one specialist SORP (Housing, Charities etc.).

Experience with IFRS would be beneficial but not essential.

Audit experience is advantageous but not required.

Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and clients.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and delivering exceptional client service.
Qualifications

Fully qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) preferred.

Consideration may also be given to part-qualified or qualified-by-experience individuals with strong technical skills.
