The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA or ACCA professional seeking a varied role with genuine flexibility and long-term progression. The position offers exposure to accounting, advisory, forecasting and client relationship management, alongside the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a modern accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and presentation of year-end accounts for a varied client portfolio

  • Production of management accounts, forecasts and budgets

  • Preparation of business and personal tax computations

  • Supporting audit assignments where required

  • Providing financial direction and business advisory support to clients

  • Working with business owners to develop action plans and growth strategies

  • Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and commercial queries

  • Managing relationships with HMRC on behalf of clients

  • Supporting recruitment, mentoring and management of junior accounting staff

  • Representing the business professionally with existing and prospective clients

  • Assisting with business development and client growth initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified

  • Minimum of two years’ post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice

  • Strong technical accounting and accounts preparation knowledge

  • Experience preparing management accounts and tax computations

  • Audit exposure advantageous

  • Strong commercial awareness and client advisory capability

  • Experience using cloud and desktop accounting systems including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and IRIS

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively

  • Positive, resilient and solutions-focused approach
