About the Role
We’re representing a progressive and well-established accountancy firm based in modern, accessible offices in Grangemouth. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base, the firm is seeking a qualified Reporting Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary for a portfolio of clients
Act as a “part-time accountant” within client businesses, offering hands-on financial support and advice
Oversee and review day-to-day finance functions including invoices, payments, and receipts
Manage VAT compliance and ensure accurate submissions
Update and maintain monthly forecasts, budgets, and cashflows
Work within agreed budgets and deadlines to deliver high-quality results
Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development
Build strong client relationships, providing reliable and proactive service
Ideal Candidate Profile
ACCA or ICAS qualified (part-qualified or QBE candidates with strong practice experience will be considered)
Proven background within a general practice environment
Strong technical accounting skills with experience in VAT compliance and management reporting
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage Line 50, or IRIS desirable but not essential
Positive, proactive attitude with strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
Capable of managing deadlines independently within a fast-paced environment
