About the firm
Our client is a family owned and managed, independent firm in the heart of Leeds. They are situated only a 5 minute walk from Leeds train station and are an ICAEW registered practice.
Job responsibilities:
- Development of own client portfolio
- Completing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and
- companies ready for review by a manager
- Assisting partner with client finalisation meetings
- Completing draft business tax computations ready for review by the tax manager
- Raising appropriate queries for a manager/partner
- Ensuring day-to-day client files are completed correctly and within set
- timeframes and requirements.
- Preparing assignment highlight documentation for client finalisation meetings.
- Assisting partner with client finalisation meetings
- Preparation of ad-hoc management accounts.
- Corresponding with clients and dealing with queries (bookkeeping & taxation
- etc.). Passing queries to relevant staff members where appropriate
- Supporting junior team members with questions and queries to ensure accurate
- work is produced.
- Planning own workload to ensure deadlines are met and work is ready for sign-off
- Recording own chargeable time and ensuring all billable hours can be recovered.
