Senior Accountant - Bradford, West Yorkshire

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review year-end accounts for a range of clients including SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Oversee the production of management accounts and financial reporting
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns
- Manage VAT returns and provide VAT-related advice
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and guidance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value
- Review work completed by junior team members, providing feedback and support
- Assist with workflow management to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Support partners and senior stakeholders on ad hoc assignments and advisory projects
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients
- Excellent technical knowledge across accounts, tax, and VAT
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Proficient in Excel and cloud-based accounting software
Desirable Skills
- Experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Exposure to advisory work and client business planning
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
