About the Opportunity
An established and growing chartered accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Client Manager or Senior Accountant to join its expanding team.
This opportunity is ideal for:
- An experienced Senior Accountant ready to step up into a Client Manager role, or
- An existing Client Manager looking for a new challenge within a progressive firm
The role offers exposure to a diverse client base and genuine progression within a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Deliver high-quality accounts preparation and tax compliance services
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance and mentorship
- Prepare and review personal and corporation tax returns
- Support basic tax planning and advisory work
- Coordinate client work and ensure deadlines are met
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships
- Work closely with Directors and senior leadership on client delivery

Candidate Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Background within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong experience across accounts and tax
- Confident managing client relationships and portfolios (or ready to step up)
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
