Accounts Senior Job Overview
A growing accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an ambitious Accounts Senior to join its expanding team.
This role is ideal for an ACCA or ACA part-qualified accountant looking to take the next step, gain exposure to a varied client portfolio, and move beyond a purely compliance-focused position.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership while gaining hands-on experience across multiple industries, with real ownership of your work.
Key Responsibilities of this Accounts Senior Role
Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with the tax team
Manage assignments from planning through to completion
Produce management accounts where required
Support and review work completed by junior staff and trainees
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Ensure work is delivered accurately and within deadlines
Requirements – Senior Accountant Jobs Stoke-on-Trent
At least 3 to 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
ACCA or ACA part-qualified (approaching qualification)
Strong experience in accounts preparation and client interaction
Good understanding of accounting and tax principles
Experience using Xero, Sage, or Iris (or similar software)
Excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail
Proactive, team-oriented, and client-focused approach
