Senior Payroll Administrator
Location: Leeds, LS8
Hours: Full time
Salary: Up to £35,000

Job Details:

Lead end-to-end payroll processing across a varied multi-client portfolio

Manage RTI submissions, pension auto-enrolment, PAYE, NI, CIS, and statutory payments

Handle year-end reporting including P60s, P11Ds, and benefits in kind

Act as primary client liaison for all payroll-related matters and HMRC correspondence

Maintain and update payroll software; ensure compliance with current UK legislation

Collaborate with in-house bookkeeping and tax teams for integrated service delivery

Supervise and support junior payroll staff, ensuring high standards and accuracy
Candidate Profile:
-
Minimum 3 years’ UK payroll experience, ideally within a bureau or practice environment

Strong working knowledge of PAYE, pensions, RTI, and statutory obligations

Proficient in Sage Payroll or similar platforms; Xero experience advantageous

CIPP qualification desirable

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and client communication skills

Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
