An innovative and client-focused accountancy practice based in Harrow is seeking a driven and experienced Tax Senior to join their expanding tax services team.
This is an outstanding opportunity if you want to work across both compliance and advisory tax matters, engage directly with clients, and contribute to growth and service innovation.
The Role of Tax Senior
You will:

Manage tax compliance for a diverse portfolio that includes owner-managed businesses, self-employed clients, trusts and estates, and high net worth individuals.

Prepare and review corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and related tax computations, ensuring that all submissions to HMRC are filed on time and in full compliance.

Deliver tax advisory and planning services, identifying opportunities such as R&D tax relief, capital allowance claims, inheritance tax planning, and other strategic structuring.

Work with clients to ensure MTD (Making Tax Digital) compliance and support the adoption of cloud-based accounting tools.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing a tailored, non-one-size-fits-all service.

Collaborate with senior leadership and colleagues to drive growth of the tax services line, contribute to business development, and help shape the firm’s service offering.

Mentor and coach junior tax team members, supporting their development and fostering a proactive team culture.
About You
You should have:

A qualified tax/accounting credential (e.g., ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience in tax.

Solid experience working in a UK accountancy practice with exposure to both tax compliance and advisory work - preferably involving business tax, property tax, trusts/estates, land-lord tax, or HNWI clients.

Excellent technical knowledge of tax legislation and current developments (corporation tax, personal tax, trusts/estates, VAT, etc.).

A client-focused mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to think commercially, spot tax planning opportunities, and implement them with confidence.

Comfortable with hybrid working and committed to delivering high-quality service in a modern, cloud-enabled practice environment.
