Responsibilities

Clinical Nursing

  • Deliver exceptional standards of veterinary nursing care.

  • Support Veterinary Surgeons with surgical and non-surgical procedures.

  • Monitor patients under general anaesthesia and maintain accurate records.

  • Conduct nurse consultations and support preventative healthcare services.

  • Perform screening procedures, including auscultation and sample collection.

  • Administer treatments as directed.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records.

  • Follow clinical protocols and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care.

  • Provide compassionate care for patients requiring additional support.

Practice Support

  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness across clinical areas.

  • Disinfect surgical rooms, equipment and treatment areas.

  • Monitor and maintain stock levels.

  • Support efficient day-to-day clinic operations.

  • Ensure new clinical communications and protocols are understood and implemented.

  • Assist with maintaining safe quarantine and infection control procedures.

Client Care

  • Educate clients on routine and specialised pet care.

  • Provide clear advice and guidance to support patient wellbeing.

  • Deliver a positive client experience throughout the patient journey.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Veterinary Nurse.

  • Experience delivering nurse consultations.

  • General anaesthetic monitoring experience.

  • Strong surgical nursing skills and knowledge of quarantine procedures.

  • Experience using veterinary practice management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.

  • A proactive attitude and passion for veterinary excellence.

  • A commitment to providing outstanding patient and client care.
