About the Role
A well-established small animal practice in Biddulph, East Midlands is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong work-life balance.
The role averages 25 hours per week, typically spread across 2 full days and 1 half day, with a 1-in-3 Saturday rota (8:00am–1:00pm). There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, allowing for a flexible schedule that fits around your lifestyle.
About the Practice
The practice is a long-established, single-site small animal centre, known for delivering high standards of clinical care and maintaining a strong reputation within the local community.
The team consists of 6 veterinary surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 student nurse, 5 receptionists, and a Practice Manager, all contributing to a friendly, family-feel culture. Facilities include spacious clinical areas, a large staff room with a massage chair, and outdoor garden space.

Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
Run nurse consultations, contributing to client education and preventative care
Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider team to maintain clinical standards
Candidate Profile
RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
Clinical experience in medical and surgical nursing
Confident, motivated, and enjoys working as part of a team
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive client relationships
Organised with the ability to manage workload effectively
Proactive in learning and continuous professional development
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Ranging from £28,000 - £32,000
Annual Leave: 6.6 weeks plus birthday off, increasing with length of service
