An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established independent veterinary practice providing high-quality care for small animals and exotic species. This role offers the chance to work within a compassionate and supportive team that places animal welfare and pain prevention at the heart of its clinical approach.

Compensation & Benefits
£27,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)
Full-time or part-time hours available
Flexible 4 or 5-day working week
1 in 4 Saturday mornings only (9am–2pm)
Independent, non-corporate practice

Role Overview
The Veterinary Nurse will play an integral role in supporting consultations, surgical procedures, inpatient care, and client communication. The role offers varied nursing responsibilities in a modern first-opinion practice with a strong emphasis on patient welfare.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting with consultations and procedures
Supporting anaesthesia and surgical nursing
Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
Client education and preventative healthcare advice
Maintaining high clinical and welfare standards
Working collaboratively with vets and support staff
Working Pattern
Full-time or part-time options available
4 or 5 days per week
1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–2pm)
Candidate Requirements
RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (or equivalent)
Experience in small animal practice preferred
Interest in exotic species beneficial but not essential
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Passion for patient welfare and high clinical standards
