About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse in Nantwich, Cheshire, to join an established and well-equipped 24-hour small animal hospital.
Offering a £30,000 salary and a 4-day working week, this position provides an excellent opportunity for an RVN who wants to develop their clinical skills within an advanced hospital environment.
The successful candidate will work 40 hours across 4 days, with a rotating full weekend requirement of approximately 1 in 6 to 1 in 10 weekends.
With access to advanced diagnostic technology including CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital X-ray, ECG and endoscopy, the role provides excellent exposure for an RVN looking to broaden their hospital nursing experience.

The practice is a well-established 24-hour small animal veterinary hospital in Nantwich, supported by an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and dedicated support colleagues.
The hospital offers an advanced clinical environment with access to CT imaging, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, ECG and a comprehensive endoscopy suite.
This extensive diagnostic capability provides Veterinary Nurses with opportunities to develop their knowledge across advanced imaging, medical nursing, surgical nursing and hospital-based patient care.
The wider clinical network also provides access to additional expertise, referral services and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to small animal patients.
Support Veterinary Surgeons with medical and surgical cases.
Deliver comprehensive inpatient and hospital nursing care.
Monitor anaesthesia and support surgical procedures.
Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures.
Support CT and MRI investigations.
Assist with ultrasound and digital radiography.
Support ECG and endoscopy procedures.
Monitor patients throughout treatment and recovery.
Maintain accurate clinical and nursing records.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients.
Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and support colleagues.
Participate in the rotating weekend rota.
Maintain excellent standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse who:
Holds current RCVS registration.
Has strong general small animal nursing skills.
Is interested in developing within a 24-hour hospital environment.
Is confident with inpatient and surgical nursing.
Has an interest in advanced diagnostic imaging.
Is keen to develop experience with CT, MRI, ultrasound and endoscopy.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enjoys working collaboratively within a larger clinical team.
Is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Is enthusiastic about continued professional development.
