About the Practice
This is a well-established, locally owned small animal practice based in a busy London location with a loyal and engaged client base. The practice benefits from a high percentage of insured clients, allowing for excellent clinical standards and continuity of care.
They are supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, student nurses, veterinary care assistants, and a dedicated client care team. The environment is welcoming, progressive, and focused on delivering outstanding patient and client care.
The practice offers advanced nurse-led clinics covering areas such as behaviour, dentistry, weight management, arthritis, pain management, diabetes, and puppy and kitten consultations. They also perform a wide range of orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures in-house, providing excellent clinical variety.
Responsibilities
Support veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures
Carry out Schedule 3 procedures including injections, medications, fluid therapy, and first aid
Assist with anaesthesia monitoring and post-operative care
Take radiographs and support diagnostic procedures
Run nurse clinics and provide client education and support
Deliver excellent inpatient and intensive nursing care
Dispense medications in line with professional guidelines
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Candidate Profile
Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered) or confident newly qualified RVN
Comfortable working across all areas of small animal practice
Passionate about patient care and client service
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive team player who works to a high clinical standard
Motivated to contribute to practice growth and team success
