The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, independent small animal practice on the Brighton coast. This role would suit a confident and motivated RVN who enjoys a varied first opinion caseload within a supportive, people-focused team.
You will be joining a close-knit clinical environment where nurses are encouraged to use their skills, build strong client relationships, and take ownership of patient care. The practice has a genuine focus on continuity, teamwork and allowing clinical staff the autonomy to make the right decisions for each patient.
The Role
This is a varied RVN position involving nurse consultations, theatre support, inpatient care, patient admits and discharges, laboratory work, and general clinical nursing duties. You will work closely with the veterinary team across a well-equipped primary care setting, supporting both medical and surgical cases.
The role would suit an RVN with experience in practice who is continuing to build confidence across both consulting and clinical nursing. There may also be the opportunity to support work experience students and, in time, contribute to student nurse development once training practice status is achieved.
The Practice
The practice is an independent, multi-site small animal group with a strong reputation for high standards of care and a warm, community-focused approach. This role will be based mainly at a smaller coastal clinic, offering a more personal working environment while still being supported by the wider team.
The clinic is well equipped for first opinion work, with facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, in-house laboratory equipment, blood pressure monitoring, microscopy and urinalysis. The wider team includes vets, nurses and reception colleagues who work collaboratively to deliver consistent, client-focused care.
