Registered Veterinary Nurse - St. Helens
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and progressive small animal practice in St Helens, Merseyside. This role offers a salary from £27,000 pro rata (DOE, negotiable) alongside strong clinical support, a varied nursing rota, and excellent work-life balance.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00am–5:00pm). The practice is closed on Sundays with no out-of-hours requirements, allowing for a healthy and sustainable schedule.

The nursing team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the practice, with genuine opportunities to develop skills across multiple areas of nursing responsibility.
Responsibilities
Deliver excellent patient and client care across all nursing duties
Manage theatre nursing, inpatient care, and anaesthetic monitoring
Support nurse consultations, triage appointments, and patient admissions/discharges
Assist with radiography and laboratory work
Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team
Take ownership of daily tasks and responsibilities
Maintain professional standards and compliance with practice policies
Candidate Profile
Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Strong general nursing experience within small animal practice
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proactive, organised, and forward-thinking approach
Passionate about animal welfare and high clinical standards
Positive team player who enjoys working within a close-knit team
Committed to ongoing professional development
