Responsibilities
Clinical Nursing
Deliver exceptional standards of veterinary nursing care.
Support Veterinary Surgeons during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
Monitor patients under general anaesthesia and maintain accurate records.
Conduct screening procedures, including auscultation and sample collection.
Administer treatments as directed by Veterinary Surgeons.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical notes.
Provide high-quality surgical and medical nursing support.
Ensure excellent patient welfare and infection control standards.
Provide attentive care for patients requiring additional support.
Practice Support
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient clinical environment.
Disinfect surgical rooms, medical equipment and clinical workspaces.
Monitor and maintain stock levels.
Support the smooth running of daily practice operations.
Follow clinical protocols and contribute to maintaining high standards of care.
Client Care
Provide nurse consultations and preventative healthcare support.
Educate pet owners on routine and specialised care procedures.
Deliver clear, compassionate communication throughout the client journey.
Promote excellent patient wellbeing and long-term healthcare outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience working as an RVN.
Experience with nurse consultations.
General anaesthetic monitoring experience.
Strong surgical nursing skills and knowledge of quarantine procedures.
Confidence using veterinary practice management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
A collaborative and team-focused attitude.
A passion for delivering outstanding patient and client care.
