About the Role
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse in Thetford, Norfolk, to join a progressive and supportive independent small animal practice.
This full-time RVN role offers 38.5 hours per week across 4 days, providing an excellent work-life balance. The working pattern includes two days from 8:00am–6:30pm and two days from 8:00am–5:45pm, with a weekday off.
The role also includes just 1 in 7 Saturday mornings and no out-of-hours work.
The practice genuinely values the contribution of its Veterinary Nurses and is keen to hear from RVNs with interests across nurse consultations, theatre, laboratory work, inpatient care or mentoring and coaching colleagues.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to small animal patients.
Monitor general anaesthesia confidently and safely.
Assist with surgical and theatre procedures.
Conduct nurse consultations where appropriate.
Take blood samples and provide appropriate patient monitoring.
Undertake laboratory work and diagnostic support.
Provide high standards of inpatient and ward care.
Support Veterinary Surgeons during medical and surgical procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Contribute to the training, mentoring and development of other team members where appropriate.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who:
Holds current RCVS registration.
Is highly competent in anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
Has strong practical nursing and patient-care skills.
Is confident with blood sampling and laboratory procedures.
Has excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Works effectively as part of a supportive team.
Takes pride in delivering high standards of patient and client care.
Is enthusiastic about CPD and continued professional development.
The practice is particularly keen to hear from RVNs who want to develop or utilise interests in nurse consultations, theatre, wards, laboratory work or team coaching.
