About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse in Wimbledon, London, within a growing and forward-thinking small animal practice offering a varied caseload and strong opportunities for professional development.
The role offers a salary from £32,000 FTE, dependent on experience, alongside a generous CPD allowance, paid professional memberships and a supportive working environment where nurses are encouraged to develop their skills and interests.
Both full-time and part-time hours are available, providing flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00am–7:00pm, and Saturdays, 9:00am–2:00pm, with Saturday work arranged either weekly or 1 in 2, alongside time off in lieu.
There are no out-of-hours requirements.

The practice is a modern, purpose-built small animal veterinary surgery in Wimbledon, designed to a high clinical standard.
The bright, air-conditioned facility is equipped with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities, supporting high-quality diagnostics and patient care.
The practice sees a diverse caseload, including a higher-than-average number of rabbits and exotic pets, while an animal behaviour specialist attends regularly.

Responsibilities
Provide high standards of nursing care across a varied small animal caseload.
Deliver excellent patient care throughout the inpatient, surgical and recovery processes.
Support Veterinary Surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures.
Monitor anaesthesia, patients and recovery appropriately.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and colleagues.
Maintain high standards of organisation, hygiene and clinical governance.
Contribute positively to the wider practice team and day-to-day operations.
Help create a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Take an active interest in the wider practice and its development.
Support and motivate colleagues where appropriate.
Contribute ideas that can improve patient care, client experience and team performance.
Continue developing clinical knowledge and nursing skills through CPD and practical experience.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
They will be a warm, compassionate and people-focused nurse who takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of patient and client care.
Strong teamwork and leadership abilities are important, alongside the confidence to help create an efficient and positive working environment.
The successful candidate should also have an interest in the wider development of the practice and be keen to understand how their contribution can support both clinical and business objectives.
