Responsibilities
As an Urgent Care Veterinarian, you will:
Diagnose and treat a wide variety of urgent canine and feline medical conditions.
Manage cases including wound care, ear infections, vomiting, diarrhoea, minor injuries, and humane euthanasia.
Develop treatment plans and clearly communicate recommendations with pet owners.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Collaborate closely with veterinary nurses, technicians, and hospital leadership.
Support the growth and development of veterinary support staff.
Deliver compassionate, relationship-focused patient and client care.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
Please note: This role focuses exclusively on urgent care medicine with no routine wellness appointments and no abdominal surgeries required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school, or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE programme.
Active veterinary licensure in Texas or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Confidence managing urgent medical cases in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate and collaborative approach to veterinary medicine.
A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care using Fear Free handling techniques.
