Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality preventative, diagnostic, medical and surgical care to small animal patients.
Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate individualised treatment plans.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
Clearly communicate clinical findings, diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
Educate pet owners on preventative healthcare and long-term animal wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and other clinical support professionals.
Exercise appropriate clinical autonomy when making patient care decisions.
Utilise additional specialty expertise when managing more challenging cases.
Maintain accurate medical records and high professional standards.
Participate in continuing education and ongoing clinical development.
Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative practice culture.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree and be licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practise veterinary medicine in New York.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine alongside a compassionate approach to clients and their pets.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are important, as is the ability to work effectively within a collaborative veterinary team.
