Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality urgent care and emergency veterinary services
Manage and stabilise urgent and critical cases
Provide leadership support as Lead DVM / Medical Director (as applicable)
Oversee clinical standards, protocols, and case management quality
Mentor and support veterinary and clinical support staff
Collaborate with hospital leadership to support operational and clinical goals
Communicate effectively with clients in high-pressure situations
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Contribute to a positive, team-focused clinical culture
Candidate Profile
Qualified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or equivalent)
Active or eligible New Hampshire veterinary licence
Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine strongly preferred
Previous leadership experience or readiness for a Lead DVM / Medical Director role
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to veterinary care
DEA licence and additional certifications preferred but not required
