Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex ICU and critical care cases
Provide advanced stabilisation and treatment for critically ill patients
Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians and specialty services
Develop and oversee ICU treatment plans and protocols
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and rounds
Support teaching and mentorship of interns, residents, and clinical staff
Ensure high standards of patient monitoring and critical care delivery
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and referring veterinarians
Contribute to hospital-wide clinical quality and improvement initiatives
Work across Buzzards Bay and Dennis locations as needed
Candidate Profile
Board-certified Veterinary Criticalist (ACVECC Diplomate) or residency-trained/board-eligible
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts
Strong background in emergency and critical care medicine
Confident managing high-acuity ICU and emergency cases
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary veterinary care
