This is a well-established emergency and specialty referral hospital serving the Maine region for over 30 years, recognised for delivering high-level veterinary care with a strong emphasis on compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including CT, MRI, colour-flow ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, full in-house laboratory services, high-flow oxygen therapy, telemetry monitoring, cold laser, shockwave therapy, and regenerative medicine tools.

Responsibilities
Provide specialist-level critical care for hospitalised and high-acuity patients
Lead management of complex emergency and ICU cases in collaboration with specialty teams
Utilise advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to guide patient care
Support and consult with emergency clinicians on critical case management
Deliver evidence-based treatment plans and ongoing patient monitoring strategies
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and hospital-wide case discussions
Contribute to clinical standards, protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor and support veterinary colleagues in critical care decision-making
Candidate Profile
Residency-trained or Board-Certified Veterinary Criticalist (DACVECC or equivalent)
Licensed or eligible to practice in Maine
Extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine
Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
Comfortable managing complex, high-acuity cases in a referral setting
Passion for clinical excellence, mentorship, and team-based medicine
Commitment to advancing standards of critical care practice
Compensation & Benefits
