This is a large, modern 36,000 sq. ft. emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Swansea, Massachusetts, serving a wide regional referral population.
The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and intensive care services alongside multiple specialty departments, including internal medicine, surgery, and expanding oncology services such as medical and radiation oncology.
The facility is undergoing continued expansion, with additional specialties including ophthalmology, cardiology, and dermatology being developed alongside advanced imaging and treatment capabilities.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage critical care cases within a high-acuity ICU setting
Provide advanced stabilisation and intensive care treatment for complex patients
Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians and specialty departments
Develop and oversee treatment plans for critically ill patients
Support interdisciplinary case discussions and decision-making
Guide and mentor interns, residents, and clinical support staff
Maintain clear, compassionate communication with pet owners
Ensure high standards of ICU patient monitoring and care delivery
Contribute to hospital protocols, ICU workflows, and clinical development
Participate in teaching and clinical education initiatives
Candidate Profile
Board-certified Veterinary Criticalist (ACVECC Diplomate) or residency-trained, eligible for certification
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts
Strong background in emergency and critical care medicine
Confident managing high-acuity and complex ICU cases
Excellent communication and leadership skills
