This is a large, modern emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Swansea, Massachusetts, providing advanced 24/7 care across multiple disciplines.
The hospital operates from a recently renovated 38,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, designed to support high-level specialty and emergency veterinary medicine.
Current services include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and radiation oncology, with planned expansion into additional specialties including dermatology, oncology, cardiology, and ophthalmology.
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including:
Digital radiography and ultrasound
CT imaging
Endoscopy
Linear accelerator for radiation oncology
Fully staffed 24/7 ICU with experienced technicians and criticalists

Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions in companion animals
Perform advanced dermatology consultations and treatment planning
Develop and grow the dermatology service within the hospital
Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and emergency care
Provide guidance and consultation to referring veterinarians and hospital clinicians
Support multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment strategies
Contribute to clinical protocols, service development, and equipment needs
Mentor interns, residents, and veterinary staff where appropriate
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based dermatology care
Maintain strong communication with clients regarding chronic and complex cases
Candidate Profile
Board-certified Veterinary Dermatologist (ACVD Diplomate) or residency-trained, exam-eligible
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Massachusetts
Strong clinical background in veterinary dermatology
Interest in building and developing a specialty service line
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
