About the Practice
This is a well-established small animal veterinary hospital in Worcester, MA, serving Worcester, Holden, Leicester, and the wider Central Massachusetts region.
The clinic provides a broad range of services including preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, exotic pet medicine, and outpatient urgent care support.
The hospital is AAHA accredited and maintains high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence. The team is fully Fear Free certified, with additional cat-friendly initiatives and a strong focus on low-stress handling.
The practice is supported by an experienced clinical team, including certified veterinary technicians, and benefits from visiting specialists in internal medicine and cardiology with echocardiography services.
Facilities include digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, electrocautery equipment, in-house diagnostics, and external laboratory support, enabling a strong level of medical capability.
Doctors typically have a dedicated surgery day each week while managing a balanced caseload across medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery.
The hospital operates:
Monday–Tuesday: 8:00am–6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am–8:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am–6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm

Responsibilities
Provide medical leadership and clinical direction across the hospital
Mentor and support veterinarians and support staff
Collaborate with leadership to drive hospital strategy and growth
Maintain high clinical standards and patient care quality
Support complex case management across surgery, medicine, and diagnostics
Enhance communication, workflow efficiency, and team collaboration
Contribute to continuing education and staff development
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive hospital culture
Assist in recruitment, retention, and team-building initiatives
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Massachusetts, in good standing
Active DEA licence or eligibility required
Strong background in small animal medicine and surgery preferred
Previous leadership or mentorship experience highly desirable
Excellent communication and team development skills
Collaborative, growth-oriented approach to veterinary leadership
