The practice operates in a fast-paced clinical environment, with approximately 70% of the caseload focused on emergency medicine, offering veterinarians the opportunity to manage complex cases while working alongside a highly skilled support team.

Responsibilities
As Veterinary Medical Director, responsibilities will include:
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the veterinary team.
Establish and maintain high standards of veterinary medicine and patient care.
Develop and implement medical protocols and best practices.
Mentor, coach, and support veterinarians and clinical team members.
Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with hospital management and regional leadership on strategic initiatives.
Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support quality assurance processes and medical standards.
Assist with complex medical cases and client communication.
Represent the practice within professional and regulatory settings.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Current Arizona veterinary licence in good standing
Current DEA registration
Strong clinical and diagnostic abilities.
Previous leadership, mentoring, or team development experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire confidence in veterinary teams and clients.
Strong understanding of veterinary practice operations.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
Ability to remain calm and effective in complex clinical situations.
Passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Ideal candidates will have:
3–5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
Previous medical leadership experience.
