Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
Salary: £45,000- £70,000 dependent on experience
About the Role
We are representing an established independent small animal practice in Walton on the Naze that is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome, with a manageable weekend commitment of 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
This role offers a varied caseload across two well-equipped branches, making it ideal for a vet seeking strong clinical exposure within a collaborative and experienced team.
About the Practice
The practice has a long-standing, stable team of veterinary surgeons and nurses who work cohesively across both sites. They provide a wide range of services and benefit from modern facilities, including:
Internal and external laboratory facilities
ECG for cardiac diagnostics
Ultrasonography
Internal medicine case management
Soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
Ear irrigation services

Key Responsibilities
First-opinion consultations and medical case workups
Routine and more advanced surgical procedures
Supporting imaging and diagnostic investigations
Delivering high levels of client communication and patient care
Participating in the Saturday rota (no additional out-of-hours)
Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team
About You
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confident with routine consultations and surgery
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, organised, and proactive
Open to both full-time or part-time working patterns
