About the Role

They are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester. This role offers a balanced 50/50 split between consulting and surgery, ideal for a vet confident managing complex soft tissue surgical cases independently.

The position also involves mentoring and supporting colleagues, helping to develop surgical skills and confidence across the team. The schedule is a 38–40 hour week, with a 4-day working week and 2:9 Saturday rota, providing strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality veterinary care across medical and surgical cases

  • Independently manage complex soft tissue surgical cases

  • Mentor and support colleagues to develop their skills and confidence

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to practice standards

  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon with relevant experience

  • Skilled in medical and soft tissue surgical procedures

  • Confident in mentoring and supporting junior vets

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Committed to providing compassionate, high-standard patient care
