An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, to join an established RCVS-recognised outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic.
The role offers exceptional flexibility, with full-time, part-time and weekend-only opportunities available. The team is open to discussing a rota that works around the successful candidate's requirements, although participation in the weekend rota is essential.

About the Practice
The hospital was established in 2002 and has developed into a centre of excellence for small animal veterinary care, providing comprehensive 24/7 services to the local community.
The purpose-built hospital provides access to advanced medical technology, including CT, rigid and flexible endoscopy and ultrasound, alongside a diverse range of clinical services.
The caseload encompasses both general first-opinion and more advanced cases, with services including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy and chemotherapy.
The experienced clinical team includes 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 24 RVNs, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses and 5 Animal Care Assistants, alongside a dedicated non-clinical support team. The hospital also has its own out-of-hours team.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
Confidently manage routine medical and surgical cases.
Work up a varied and diverse caseload to a high clinical standard.
Deliver excellent patient care and client service.
Collaborate with experienced Veterinary Surgeons and the wider clinical team.
Contribute to the hospital's emergency and out-of-hours services as required by the agreed rota.
Develop clinical interests and contribute to advanced services where appropriate.
Maintain high standards of clinical governance and patient welfare.
Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development.

Compensation & Benefits
