They are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy 24/7 hospital in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The role offers the opportunity to work across a varied caseload, delivering both first-opinion and referral care. This position is ideal for candidates looking to develop their skills alongside advanced practitioners in both medicine and surgery.

The schedule is a 40-hour week, with a 4-day working week and 2:9 weekend rota, offering excellent work-life balance.

The hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility with:

  • 8 consulting rooms

  • 3 theatres

  • Dedicated X-ray and dental suite

  • On-site CT scanner

  • Separate dog and cat wards and a specialised ICU

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care across a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases

  • Perform weekly orthopaedic procedures on site

  • Collaborate with certificate holders and advanced practitioners

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold practice standards

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon with relevant experience

  • Strong surgical and medical skills
