About the Practice
The practice is a purpose-built small animal surgery designed to support high clinical standards and provide a comfortable working environment.
The team has a strong ethos of collaboration, with experienced veterinary colleagues bringing a range of clinical interests including surgery, medicine, regenerative medicine and chronic pain management.
A wide variety of cases are worked up in-house, including stem cell and PRP intra-articular injections, while visiting specialists provide additional expertise in orthopaedics and ophthalmology.
The practice has a loyal client base with considerable potential for further growth. Clinicians are encouraged to develop their own interests, explore new ideas and work towards certificates with full funding and support.
The team also takes workload management seriously. Diaries are carefully managed to avoid excessive workloads, allowing vets to focus on delivering excellent patient care and a high-quality client experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
Conduct thorough consultations and clinical examinations.
Diagnose and manage a varied small animal caseload.
Perform routine medical and surgical procedures.
Work cases up appropriately within the practice.
Develop and pursue individual clinical interests.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
Build strong and lasting client relationships.
Work collaboratively with the veterinary and nursing team.
Contribute ideas to improve clinical protocols and patient care.
Participate in CPD and further clinical development.
Make full use of the practice's diagnostic and treatment facilities.
Support the continued growth and development of the practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident managing routine medical and surgical cases.
They should be enthusiastic about developing their clinical skills and keen to work within a genuinely collaborative team.
A proactive attitude is important, as the practice welcomes new ideas and encourages colleagues to introduce useful skills, knowledge and approaches gained through previous experience or CPD.
Whether the successful candidate has a particular interest in surgery, medicine, imaging, regenerative medicine or another area of clinical practice, they will be encouraged to develop their expertise.
