About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive small animal practice in Derby, Derbyshire. This role offers a salary of up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE) alongside flexible part-time hours, strong clinical support, and excellent opportunities for career progression.
This is a part-time position, working 15–30 hours per week, with flexibility around full or part days to suit your lifestyle, ideally including a Friday. The rota includes a shared 1 in 3 Saturday rota, some sole charge responsibilities, and no out-of-hours work, ensuring a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality consultations and case management
Perform routine surgery and medical work-ups to a high clinical standard
Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support teams
Provide excellent client communication and continuity of care
Participate in some sole charge responsibilities where required
Maintain excellent standards of patient welfare and client service
Candidate Profile
Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with strong small animal GP experience
Confident in both medical and surgical case management
Good knowledge of working up cases independently
Comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibilities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care
Positive team player who thrives in a supportive environment
Compensation & Benefits
