About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon in Eastleigh, Hampshire, offering up to £60,000 FTE depending on experience.
This role is suitable for both experienced Veterinary Surgeons and new graduates, with full-time and part-time hours available. The practice offers a supportive and welcoming working environment, alongside genuine flexibility around working hours and rota patterns.
The weekend commitment is just 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, 9am–2pm, with no out-of-hours, on-call or bank holiday work. This makes the position an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking a strong work-life balance in Hampshire.
About the Practice
The practice is a friendly, established small animal team with four Veterinary Surgeons, supported by an experienced nursing and support team.
They place a strong emphasis on teamwork, clinical development and creating an enjoyable working environment. Regular team social events help maintain a positive and inclusive culture.
The practice is well equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic technology, including:
Digital X-ray
Brand-new IDEXX InVue and SediVue systems
New ultrasound machine with cardiac probe
Phovia
Laser therapy equipment
Separate dog and cat wards
Strong nursing and support staff provision
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality clinical care to small animal patients.
Conduct consultations, examinations and diagnostic work-ups.
Develop appropriate treatment and management plans.
Carry out routine surgical and medical procedures appropriate to experience.
Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and support staff.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
Participate in the 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Candidate Profile
