About the Role
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a certificate or advanced clinical skillset to join a supportive small animal first opinion team in Edinburgh.
This permanent role offers 28 hours per week, with full-time and flexible rota options also available. The position is particularly suited to a Veterinary Surgeon looking to utilise and further develop a clinical interest such as cardiology, diagnostic imaging or dermatology.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to use their advanced skills within the practice while contributing to a culture of clinical development, knowledge sharing and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality first opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
Utilise your certificate or advanced clinical skillset within the practice.
Apply specialist knowledge in areas such as cardiology, imaging, dermatology or another relevant discipline.
Conduct thorough clinical examinations and appropriate diagnostic investigations.
Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment plans.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
Support colleagues by sharing specialist knowledge and clinical experience.
Participate in collaborative case discussions and clinical decision-making.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of clinical standards and practice protocols.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and client care.
Continue developing professionally through CPD and advanced training opportunities.
Candidate Profile

A relevant certificate or advanced clinical skillset, with areas such as cardiology, imaging or dermatology particularly welcomed.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary, flexible depending on experience (ranging from £45,000 - £65,000, rated at full-time hours)
28 hours per week

RCVS and VDS fees paid in full, pro rata for part-time colleagues
