An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing and supportive small animal practice in Exeter, Devon. This role offers a salary of up to £70,000 (DOE) alongside flexible working options, excellent clinical exposure, and a genuine focus on work-life balance.

This is a well-established small animal practice with a friendly and experienced team of veterinary surgeons, supported by a skilled nursing team including certificate holders in anaesthesia and dentistry. The practice offers a varied caseload across both medical and surgical disciplines, supported by visiting specialists in orthopaedics and ultrasonography.

The practice is modern, spacious, and fully equipped with advanced facilities including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and a modern dental suite, enabling high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality consultations and case management

  • Perform routine surgical procedures and medical work-ups

  • Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support teams

  • Provide excellent client communication and continuity of care

  • Participate in occasional sole charge responsibilities where required

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the practice

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with small animal practice experience

  • Confident in routine surgery and medical case management

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibilities

  • Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care

  • Keen to develop clinical interests and pursue further qualifications

  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative approach
