Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients
Managing a varied and diverse clinical caseload
Conducting consultations, examinations and diagnostic investigations
Making confident, evidence-based clinical decisions
Developing appropriate treatment plans based on individual patient needs
Performing surgical procedures in line with experience and clinical competence
Communicating realistic treatment options clearly and compassionately with clients
Taking a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to patient care
Working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses and support colleagues
Participating in case discussions and shared clinical learning
Maintaining accurate clinical records and professional standards
Contributing to the continued improvement of clinical services
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a qualified, RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys managing a varied medical and surgical caseload.
They should demonstrate strong clinical judgement, adaptability and confidence when making evidence-based decisions and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Excellent communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and work effectively within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
