About the Practice
This is a spacious, standalone small animal practice located in the heart of the local community, offering excellent facilities and a strong collaborative team culture.
The clinic is purpose-built and fully equipped with four consultation rooms, a dedicated imaging room, theatre, separate cat and dog wards, an isolation ward, and excellent staff facilities including a separate office and colleague room.
The practice is led by a highly experienced veterinary professional with a strong focus on team development, alongside an experienced certificate holder in internal medicine and ophthalmology. They are supported by a large team of skilled RVNs who fully utilise their nursing abilities through nurse clinics and advanced patient care, as well as a dedicated reception team.
Regular clinical meetings, in-house learning sessions, and a genuinely supportive leadership structure create an environment where professional development is actively encouraged.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality first opinion veterinary care across consultations and surgery
Perform routine surgical procedures confidently
Manage a varied small animal caseload with strong continuity of care
Build excellent relationships with clients and patients
Collaborate with the wider clinical and nursing team on case management
Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold high clinical standards
Contribute positively to team discussions and ongoing clinical development
Candidate Profile
Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within UK small animal practice
Confident with routine procedures, consultations, and general practice medicine
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A collaborative and proactive team player
Passionate about delivering excellent client and patient care
