Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal
Location: Sussex / Surrey Region
Schedule: Full Time (4-day week, 1 in 4 weekends)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and versatile Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal) to join a progressive, independent veterinary group across the Sussex and Surrey region. The position offers a diverse caseload across both branch and hospital settings, providing exposure to everything from routine consultations to advanced soft tissue surgery and ECC (day work). The successful candidate will work alongside experienced clinicians and certificate holders, enabling continuous development and the opportunity to pursue individual clinical interests.

About the Practice
The practice operates across well-equipped sites, including access to a 24-hour hospital environment. Facilities are state-of-the-art, including CT, MRI, laparoscopic equipment, digital and dental X-ray, advanced ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and laser therapy.
The team is highly experienced and collaborative, with a wide range of clinical interests including orthopaedics, dentistry, imaging, cytology, endoscopy, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. Supported by an experienced nursing and support team, the environment promotes clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care across a varied small animal caseload
Conduct consultations, diagnostics, and routine surgical procedures
Support and assist with advanced surgical and ECC cases (daytime)
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and certificate holders
Contribute to clinical development and continuous improvement
Candidate Profile
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Experience in general practice (all levels considered)
Confident in routine consultations and surgery
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Motivated to pursue clinical progression and certification
Compensation & Benefits
