Schedule: Full Time (4-day week, light weekend rota)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal) to join a newly independent, vet-led practice in the Ilford / Goodmayes area of East London. This is a unique chance to be part of a practice relaunch, working with a loyal and returning client base in a thriving community setting.
The role offers a varied caseload within a large hospital site, supported by an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff. The successful candidate will benefit from clinical autonomy, with the opportunity to shape services and request investment in equipment to support the highest standards of care.
With a strong focus on clinical progression, this role is ideal for a veterinary surgeon looking to develop their skills, pursue certification, and work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The practice operates as part of a progressive, independent, vet-led group, with access to a wide network of experienced clinicians, including certificate holders across multiple disciplines such as surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, oncology, and exotics.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care across a varied small animal caseload
Conduct consultations, diagnostics, and routine surgical procedures
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and wider clinical network
Contribute to the development of the practice and clinical services
Build strong client relationships and provide excellent communication
Candidate Profile
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Experience in general practice (all levels considered)
Confident in routine surgery and medical case management
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Motivated to pursue clinical development and progression
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Up to £72,000 DOE
