About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an established small animal practice in Luton, Bedfordshire, with part-time and full-time options available.
Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, depending on skills and experience
Hours: Four-day working week, Monday–Friday
Consultations: 20-minute appointments
Saturday rota: 1 in 4, 9:00am–4:00pm
Sundays: None
Out-of-hours: None
Sole charge: None

About the Practice
The practice is an established small animal service in Luton with more than 16 years of experience, supported by a friendly and experienced multidisciplinary team.
The clinical team includes four Veterinary Surgeons, five RVNs, two Student Veterinary Nurses and two Veterinary Care Assistants, alongside an experienced Practice Manager and Reception team.
The practice is RCVS accredited at General Practice level and provides a well-equipped environment for both medical and surgical cases.

A dedicated GDP advisor also provides additional clinical support and guidance, helping Veterinary Surgeons build confidence and develop their skills within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
Conduct 20-minute consultations across a varied small animal caseload.
Diagnose and manage medical and surgical cases.
Undertake routine surgical procedures appropriate to experience.
Work collaboratively with experienced Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs.
Build strong relationships with clients and provide clear clinical advice.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
Participate in clinical discussions and case development.
Take advantage of CPD and further education opportunities.
Contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
Develop areas of clinical interest with appropriate support.
Candidate Profile
The practice is open to Veterinary Surgeons at different stages of their career.
Whether they are an experienced GP vet, a clinician looking for additional support or a newer graduate developing their confidence, the successful candidate will benefit from an experienced team and dedicated clinical mentorship.
