An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established independent small animal practice in Radlett.
This role is ideal for a vet with 2–3+ years’ experience looking to develop within a supportive team, with access to a strong surgical and medical caseload and the ability to fully work up cases.
Compensation & Benefits
£50,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience
Full-time role (40 hours over 4 days)
1 set day off per week
No out-of-hours or Sunday work
1 in 3 Saturday mornings only

Role Overview
The Veterinary Surgeon will be involved in all aspects of first-opinion practice, including consultations, diagnostics, and surgery. The role offers excellent case continuity, allowing vets to fully work up cases to a high clinical standard.

The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities, including:
Digital X-ray
Dental X-ray
Ultrasound
Laser therapy
Dedicated dental suite
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality consultations and clinical care
Perform routine surgical procedures
Work up medical cases with strong clinical autonomy
Provide excellent client communication
Maintain high clinical and welfare standards
Work collaboratively with vets, RVNs, and support staff
Working Pattern
40 hours per week over 4 days
1 set day off each week
1 in 3 Saturday mornings
No Sundays or OOH
Candidate Requirements
MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
2–3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Interest in developing clinical and surgical skills
Commitment to high standards of patient care
