An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
This is a permanent, part-time position offering 20–30 hours per week, with flexible working patterns designed to support family life and a healthy work-life balance.

About the Practice
The practice is an established small animal service with a passionate team of Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, PCAs and receptionists.
They foster a friendly, collaborative working environment where colleagues support one another and work together to provide excellent patient care.
The successful candidate will benefit from a stable and experienced nursing team, with knowledgeable Veterinary Nurses providing strong day-to-day clinical support.
There are also opportunities to access wider clinical expertise, learning and mentoring through established professional networks.
The practice has strong connections with the local community and actively supports local initiatives, helping to build lasting relationships with clients and organisations in the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality first-opinion small animal veterinary care.
Manage a varied caseload across consultations, diagnostics and treatment.
Undertake surgical and medical cases appropriate to experience.
Provide some sole-charge veterinary care where required.
Participate in the 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota, with consultations only from 8:00am–12:00pm.
Mentor and support less experienced Veterinary Surgeons.
Share clinical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Develop leadership and line management capabilities.
Contribute to clinical discussions and continuous improvement.
Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and their pets.
Support the continued development and growth of the practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid small animal clinical experience.
They should be confident working independently when required while also valuing collaboration, mentoring and shared clinical learning.
This position would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon who is:
Confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload.
Comfortable with some sole-charge responsibilities.
Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care.
Interested in mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues.
Keen to develop leadership and line management skills.

Compensation & Benefits
