About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a welcoming and progressive small animal practice in Selby, North Yorkshire. This role offers a salary of up to £70,000 (DOE) plus a £5,000 welcome bonus, alongside excellent clinical support, flexible working, and strong career development opportunities.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota (9:00am–4:00pm). There are no out-of-hours requirements, supporting a healthy work-life balance while still offering a varied and rewarding caseload.

About the Practice

The team includes experienced veterinary surgeons, including a highly experienced clinical lead, supported by skilled registered veterinary nurses, clinical support staff, and dedicated leadership. The practice actively encourages professional development and supports certificates across a wide range of interests, including ophthalmology, behaviour, and soft tissue surgery.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality consultations and case management
Perform routine surgical procedures and medical work-ups
Work closely with the nursing and support teams to ensure excellent patient care
Build strong client relationships through clear and compassionate communication
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
Support the ongoing development of clinical standards within the practice
Candidate Profile
Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with solid small animal GP experience
Confident in both consultations and routine surgery
Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Keen to pursue clinical interests and further professional development
Positive, proactive, and collaborative approach
