About the Practice

This is a supportive and well-established small animal practice led by an experienced leadership team with over 10 years of local success. The practice is continuing to grow and is focused on delivering gold-standard patient care while creating a genuinely positive and collaborative team culture.

The current team includes experienced veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, student nurses, and dedicated client care staff, ensuring strong day-to-day support and smooth clinical operations.

The practice actively encourages clinical progression and is particularly keen to support vets with specialist interests, including exotics, with investment in additional equipment and certificate funding available where needed.

Located in Stoke-on-Trent, the practice benefits from excellent transport links via the A500 and M6, with easy access to Manchester, Birmingham, and the Peak District, making it an excellent location for both commuting and lifestyle balance.

Consultations are structured with 15-minute appointments, with protected time built into the rota for admin and paperwork, helping clinicians maintain high standards while ensuring they leave on time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality consultations and case management

  • Perform routine surgery and medical work-ups to a high clinical standard

  • Support the continued growth and development of the practice

  • Mentor and support junior colleagues where appropriate

  • Build strong client relationships through excellent communication

  • Maintain excellent patient welfare and clinical standards

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with solid small animal GP experience

  • Confident in routine surgery and consultations

  • Passionate about delivering gold-standard patient care

  • Interested in leadership, mentoring, and supporting practice growth

  • Special interest in exotics welcomed but not essential

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Positive, proactive, and forward-thinking approach

  • Keen to continue professional development and pursue certificates

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary (ranging from £40,000 to £75,000)
