About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon in Sutton, South London, to join an established and progressive small animal team.
This full-time Veterinary Surgeon role offers a 4-day working week with a manageable 1 in 3 Saturday rota, supporting a strong work-life balance.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across both consultations and theatre, managing a varied caseload while developing their individual clinical interests.
The practice is particularly keen to support Veterinary Surgeons who want to progress clinically, with access to experienced colleagues, enhanced CPD and certificate funding.

The practice forms part of an established independent veterinary group with a strong focus on clinical excellence, professional development and high standards of patient care.
The wider clinical team includes experienced and certificate-holding Veterinary Surgeons with interests across soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, exotics and oncology.
This provides excellent opportunities for case discussion, knowledge sharing and mentorship across a broad range of disciplines.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care.
Conduct thorough consultations and clinical examinations.
Manage a varied medical and surgical caseload.
Perform routine surgical procedures appropriate to experience.
Work confidently within the consulting and theatre environments.
Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer care.
Collaborate with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and support colleagues.
Participate in clinical case discussions and knowledge sharing.
Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
Engage with CPD and develop areas of clinical interest.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon who:
Has experience within UK small animal practice.
Is confident managing a varied medical and surgical caseload.
Enjoys working across both consultations and theatre.
Has strong communication and client-care skills.
Demonstrates sound clinical judgement.
Is proactive and enthusiastic about professional development.
Enjoys collaborative working and sharing clinical knowledge.
Has a genuine commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
Veterinary Surgeons with particular interests in surgery, medicine, imaging, ophthalmology, dermatology, exotics or other clinical disciplines are encouraged to apply.
