About the Role
A veterinary practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive small animal team in Trent Vale, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This opportunity offers a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, with a particularly flexible, family-friendly working pattern designed to accommodate commitments such as school runs.
The practice can consider one day per week plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am–2:00pm), with the option to increase hours by working across another nearby practice for up to an additional three days per week.
Alongside flexible hours, the package includes £1,500 CPD funding, funded certificates, private medical insurance, visa sponsorship and relocation support.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-quality veterinary care across consultations and surgery
Managing a varied small animal caseload
Conducting clinical examinations and diagnostic investigations
Developing tailored treatment plans with clients
Performing surgical procedures appropriate to experience and competence
Maintaining high standards of clinical and regulatory compliance
Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners
Maintaining accurate clinical records
Working collaboratively with veterinary and nursing colleagues
Sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of the wider clinical team
Participating in the agreed weekend rota
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a qualified, MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for clinical excellence and high standards of patient and client care.
They should be comfortable working collaboratively within a small animal clinical team and managing cases across consultations and surgery.
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach are essential, alongside a willingness to contribute positively to the wider team.
