An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with experience in advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics to join a purpose-built surgery in Waltham Forest. This role is ideal for a vet passionate about surgical excellence, preventive care, and pet wellbeing, who enjoys working as part of a supportive, collaborative team.

Location: Waltham Forest (Higham Park & Walthamstow)
Salary: From £60,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week, 1 in 4 weekends
Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the Practice
This Waltham Forest practice is a modern, spacious, and well-equipped surgery within a nationwide independent veterinary group. Clinical team members have achieved or are working towards certificates in areas such as emergency & critical care and small animal surgery, ensuring a high standard of care.
The surgery emphasises continuous professional development (CPD), with initiatives to fill skill gaps and support learning at all levels. Colleagues are well-supported by a dedicated Customer Experience Manager and team of Customer Experience Coordinators, creating a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
Deliver preventive care, medical treatment, and advanced surgical procedures including soft tissue and orthopaedics
Manage complex cases with confidence, providing evidence-based treatment plans
Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing guidance and reassurance
Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical team members
Support a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and shared knowledge
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the surgery
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon
Have experience in advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics
Demonstrate strong clinical confidence across a variety of medical and surgical cases
Be an excellent communicator and team player
Be committed to CPD and professional development
Be able to work 1 in 4 weekends
